This antique, circa 1800s French sautoir necklace/watch chain is comprised of jet beads and has a working dog clip. Please examine the photos to see the dog clip closely as there is paint wear to the clip and some rust. The cord on which the beads are strung appears to be black braid.
The necklace appears to be in good, sturdy condition although it is impossible to check every area of braid since the beads are strung very close together.
Length is 60" total (30" x 2).

I am absolutely thrilled with the necklace I purchased from you! The photo on the listing did not really show the beautiful workmanship on this piece. I am a bead weaver, so I understand and appreciate the maker's commitment to its design and creation. It is simultaneously strong (i.e., well constructed) and fluid (in its drape.)
