This French balloon fève is ceramic and measures 1" x ⅝".
CONDITION/PLEASE READ: Please note that the back of the fève has chipping.
Fèves are ceramics or beans placed in the traditional French cake of Epiphany, the Galette des Rois, or the King Cake here in the States for Mardi Gras. Whoever finds the fève is crowned king or queen and has to pay for next year's cake.
This is an older fève, possibly antique, but of indeterminate age. Please use the zoom function to get the closest look at each photo as there is wear and discoloration commensurate with age. Do let me know if you need more photos as I'll be happy to oblige.
