These French sugar tongs have the boar's head mark for 800 silver purity or higher on the lower part of the silver handles embellished with a floral motif. Please see the second photo and arrows pointing to the boar's head on each handle.
This boar's head hallmark was used between 1838-1962, and I am venturing a guess that these are early 20th century. They measure 6.25" in length and do have pitting and wear on the lower gold-colored tong portion, which is not silver. The handles are in good condition with minimal wear. I've not polished them but will leave this up to the discretion of the new owner.
