Antique, French Canivet, First Communion, "Souvenir of My Most Beautiful Day"

This antique, French canivet commemorates a young girl's First Communion and has "Souvenir de mon plus beau jour" (Souvenir of My Most Beautiful Day) at the bottom of the picture. There is some bowing to the canivet but this can be remedied by pressing the canivet between heavy books. Dimensions are 4 ¼" x 2 ¾".

The picture has blue color added to the prayer book and staff handle and a background of gold embossed foil. There is darkening to the foil in some areas, particularly on the left side.
