This vintage, Souré evening bag with wristlet has a Jemco frame and is circa 1940s. Souré was a prolific New York purse company, but not a lot is known about them.
**Please note the purse is in overall very good condition, but when examined closely, the wristlet portion has a variation of shades in some areas. If you would like more photos, please don't hesitate to ask as I'll be happy to oblige. The beading appears fully intact, and I would venture a guess that the purse is silk.
A faint "Made by Souré" in gold print can be seen in the ninth photo in the purse's interior and the Jemco mark on the frame in the tenth photo.
Outer dimensions are 7" x 4 ½" with the wristlet measuring 5 ¼" x 1 ¾". The depth is around 5" depending upon how far toward the frame one measures, but this is not a purse to be stuffed. There is also a small, shallow interior pocket.
