This antique stereo view card of Des Invalides' dome from the Paris et Ses Environs series is circa 1850s-1870s and in good condition. The photography is by Edouard Baldus (1813-1889) who was one of the leading architectural photographers of mid-19th century France.

A founding member of the Société Héliographique, he participated in the Comité des Monuments Historiques, photographing historic monuments in Paris, Fontainebleau, Burgundy, Dauphine and Provence between 1851 and 1852. Baldus is also known for his documentary photographs taken during renovation of the Louvre.
