who write about this card's publisher:
Boumard Fils, also known as Boumard et Fils, was a family-run publisher of religious art, active at the beginning of the twentieth century. Boumard Fils was located in the Saint-Sulpice neighborhood of Paris, the center of the religious printing industry in France. The artwork on their earlier cards is exemplary of the Saint-Sulpician style.
Also, this site provides an interesting article on canivets: https://www.casacenina.com/blog/canivet-the-ancient-paper-art.html
This canivet is in very good condition with no tears but a bit of foxing (the brown areas on the face and back of the card). Dimensions are 4 ⅞ x 3 ¼.
I'm dating it as circa early 1900s.
