This French Tissue stereo view card is circa mid-1800s (produced during the Second Empire) and features a dance from a French opera. This stereo view card is unique because it has the addition of a special paper. When the card is held up to light, the black and white photo becomes colored (as seen in the last photo). The photograph is in good condition with a small amount of rippling. The cardboard frame has unique designs with the manufacturer's name- B.K. (Adolphe Block) of Paris. Block published stereo views from 1863-1915. Dimensions are 6 ⅞" x 3 ½".

Les Huguenots premiered in Paris in 1836 and is a French opera by Giacomo Meyerbeer.
