This antique, French engraving of white bears is from an 1867 publication. The engraver was Charles LaPlante, but I cannot make out the artist's name in the lower right hand corner of the engraving.
The actual engraving measures 6 ¼" x 3 ⅞". The entire sheet measures 9" x 4 ¾".
