RESERVED for D: Antique Perfume Bottle with Sterling and Glass Stopper by R. Blackinton, Dated 1871

Sorry, this item has sold.

This antique perfume bottle of etched glass with floral pattern has a glass and sterling silver stopper. The stopper has a monogram, a hallmark and a maker's mark with a date of 1871. R. Blackinton, still in operation, began in 1862 as a full silver house in North Attleboro, MA. (Thank you to https://srblackinton.com/heritage/ for the valuable company information.)

Condition issues: Please note that there is a cloudiness to the glass. I've only rinsed it with warm water and have polished the silver. In the ninth photo, please note the thin scratch below the floral design. Also, there is wear to the glass stopper as seen in the sixth photo. Finally, there is what appears to be a cloudy scratching seen in the eighth photo at the bottom of the bottle. I believe this from the glass stopper.

The base of the bottle measures 2.25" x 2.25". The height is almost 3.5" without the stopper. With the stopper, the height is 4".

Thank you for looking.
