This antique French engraving of a hot air balloon, commemorates the first hydrogen inflated balloon ascent of A.M. Bixio and Jean Augustin Barral on June 29, 1850 from the Paris Observatory.
The engraving is from a late 19th century French paper and measures 9 1/4" x 7". The engraving is in very good condition.
