This sterling (hallmarked 925) marcasite, faux pearl, and purple stone brooch has the maker's mark of MC for Murray Chuven, a New Jersey jeweler who operated primarily in the 1960s.
The trademark MC was filed for on Dec. 13, 1962.
The brooch measures approximately 2" and has a double barreled safety clasp.
Condition: There is one missing marcasite on the end of a leaf as seen in the last photo. I've circled it in red. It is unobservable to the unaided eye. Also, the faux pearl does have some surface scratching, which is also unobservable to the unaided eye.
