Thank you to www.antiquebookends.net for this information on the Connecticut Foundry: Located in Rocky Hill, CT, the Connecticut Foundry produced a line of sand cast metal bookends that had a distinctive style characterized by very soft details. They manufactured solely in iron. All but a few of their bookends, from the late 1920s to early 1930s were made with a simple patinated finish. Rare examples of polychrome bookends do exist. Their line of bookends went out of production sometime between the Great Depression and the beginning of World War II.
