This antique French photograph was discovered at the marché aux puces in Vanves, a suburb of Paris. A man is lifting a 65 kilogram bar above his head while others (presumably his wife and children and perhaps other family members or friends) look on. A sign proclaims his feat: Enlevé d'un bras, 65 K. Another man holds an accordion. I'm estimating this photo as being circa early 1900s.
The entire piece is approximately 10 3/4" x 8 1/4". The photo itself measures 7 1/8" x 5 1/8".
Please note the significant damage to the mat surrounding the photograph as well as damage to the photograph itself. Most pronounced is a tear, maybe mended, about half way down the left side of the photograph right at the edge. Do let me know if you need more photographs as I'll be happy to oblige.
