Sorry, this item has sold.

This empty Nuit de Noel perfume bottle by Caron (and created by Ernest Daltroff) has traces of the scent (but no actual perfume) on the stopper and in the bottle. I've seen where this bottle has been attributed to Baccarat and Pochet et du Courval, but there is no attribution save for an indecipherable mark and what appears to be a "7" on the bottom of the bottle.

The original black crystal flacon was designed by Felicie Bergaud (Felicie Vanpouille) and manufactured by Baccarat design # 569. The top of the bottle has a gold foil label with Nuit de Noel wrapped around it. The black glass stopper is in the shape of a button with little cut details and facets.

The bottle was also manufactured by Pochet et du Courval. You might find a bottle with the entwined HP symbol for Pochet or the little paper label for Baccarat - or in most cases - no marking at all other than some hand inscribed numbers. Prior to 1936, Baccarat did not systematically mark their bottles with their labels or acid stamps.

The bottle and stopper have some condition issues. The stopper has flea bites and a chip on the faceted outer portion of the cap and a chip on the actual stopper. Please enlarge the eighth, ninth and tenth photos to see these. The chip in the eighth photo is visible to the unaided eye although it is small. The chip on the faceted cap in the tenth photo is visible to the unaided eye, but it is not readily obvious unless one is examining the stopper closely. The ninth photo shows the flea bites on the actual faceted cap. The seventh photo shows a chip on the edge of the bottle's opening. This is also more readily visible to the unaided eye. There is another chip that is not as visible that is not shown. Finally, the bottom of the bottle has a chip to it as seen in the sixth photo. If you would like more photos, please do not hesitate to ask as I'll be happy to oblige.

The price reflects these imperfections.

Dimensions of the bottom of the bottle are 2 1/4" x 3/4". Height is 4 1/4".
