This set of four black glass buttons is from the late 1800s. They consist of black faceted glass with metal backs and metal shanks and measure 5/8" across.
There are "flea bites" or small nicks in a few places, but these are not visible to the naked eye. They're only visible when viewed through a loupe with 10x magnification.
