This 16" (from tail tip to forepaw) mohair tiger is unmarked, but I have my ideas as to his or her manufacturer. The pose is classic Steiff as are the pads visible on the bottoms of the paws. The nose looks to be a faded pink color. I believe the ears were re-attached as the tiger's right ear has a small hole in the back where it looks like a button and tag were attached. The Steiff button and tag are placed in the left ear of the animal. I also believe the eyes might have been replaced although I've come across one other Steiff cat with this type of eyes.
Please note the stripes have faded considerably, and there is no mouth stitching. Again, the ears look to have been re-attached.
