This Max Dannhorn porcelain platter with metal edging is a creamy white with blue, Art Deco designs. Dannhorn began production in 1872 with the firm changing its name to Nuernberger Metallwarenfabrik in 1921. Most of the porcelain centers were produced by the firm of Villeroy & Boch.
The platter measures 14 1/4" across and 1/8" thick. Weight is 51.3 ounces.
Please note the areas depicted in photos two through seven. Some of these areas are small chips and some are discolorations with the most prominent seen in the second photo. The fifth photo shows a small, extraneous bit of metal protruding from the edge. At first glimpse, it looks like a chip, but it is only the metal.
