Condition: Good. 269 pages including a bibliography and four additional pages of book advertisements.

No dust jacket. Blue clothbound. Marks on the front board and spine. Binding is intact and moderately tight whereas the pages are concerned, but front and back covers open easily (loose hinges). Shelf wear on spine. Bumped corners. Previous owner's name and city along with other penciled writing on inside page facing front cover. Light foxing on pages. Some darkened smudges on frontispiece page, title page, contents page, and page 97. Almost 1/4" tear and fold to page edge toward bottom of page 120. Small, grayish, approximately 1/4" and less than 1/8" stains on bottom of page 169 and visible on page 170. Minor spots of foxing to pages 188-191 and 194. Brownish smudge in upper left hand edge of page 241, 3/4" when measured diagonally. Very light dog-earing on a couple of pages at the end and pronounced foxing to page edges when book is closed.
