This mustard crock is from Düsseldorf and is a commemorative piece, marking 100 years that Lowensenf has been in business (from 1903-1953). Otto and Frieda Frenzel began their company in Metz, but it was re-located to Düsseldorf after WWI when Metz was returned to France.
This crock, with a lion in relief on the front, measures 3 1/8" in height, 1 7/8" across the mouth and 1 7/8" across the base. "Made in Germany" appears on the bottom of the piece, and the lid is still intact with a space for a small serving piece. There is a very small flea bite that measures approximately 1/16" as shown in the last photo. The piece does have crazing and marks commensurate with age and use. Do let me know if you'd like more photos as I'll be happy to oblige.
