This vintage Dick Whittington and His Cat tin lithographed bank is more than likely circa 1930s. It was produced by Chad Valley, a toy manufacturer who acquired the toy firm of Peacock and Company in 1932, allowing them to begin producing tinplate items. In 1938, Chad Valley was given the royal appointment of Toymakers to H.M. the Queen so because this bank does not have this designation, I'm placing it in the earlier part of the 1930s.
Thank you to http://rodgersantiques.co.uk/?p=1381 for the information on Chad Valley.
Please note that there is not key and the door does not close securely. The door also has condition issues as seen in photos two, seven, eight, and nine. Do ask if you'd like more photographs as I'll be happy to oblige.
Dimensions are 4.5" from the edge of the lid to the base of the tin, approximately 3.75" across the curved lid, and approximately a 3.50" x 2" base.
Thank you for looking.
