This ribbed glass bottle or jar with ornate metal lid is circa 1930s and may've been used as a piece on the vanity or perhaps in a train case. It is 6.25" in length, not measuring the lid, and 1.25" across the opening of the bottle.
I've washed the bottle out with warm soapy water, but there remains a residue as well as some scratches. Do let me know if you'd like more photos as I'll be happy to oblige.
Please note that the blue reflection, as seen in particular in the first photo, is from the wall behind the bottle and not within the glass bottle.
