This metal lion looks as if it were a lamp base or finial or perhaps a gate post. There is a protruding small screw end and a sharp and rough area on the lion's back between his shoulder blades, as if something were broken off.
From the lion's snout to his tail tip, the measurement is 4.25" diagonally. From the edge of the platform on which the lion is standing to his tail tip, straight across, the piece measures 3.75". From the figure's base to the crown of the lion's head, the measurement is 3.50".
The weight of this piece is almost 11 ounces.
