This Brown & Sharpe tempered steel ruler is vintage, but I'm not sure of its age. It could be an antique, but I'm thinking it's more circa 1950s. Thank you to http://vintagemachinery.org/mfgindex/detail.aspx?id=2185 for their valuable information on this company, which has been around since 1833.
I've seen catalogs for the company where they mention a tool in a "Morocco" case. I believe this to be a Morocco leather case that has been repaired with some sort of tape or binding material. One can see a bit of the leather, especially in the second photo.
The case has a Brown and Sharpe logo clip.
Please note areas of rust on the ruler.
