"Good Angels" was painted by H. Howard, R.A. and engraved by C. Rolls. This is a print of the original copper engraving.
Mention of this artwork is in the London Literary Gazette and Journal of Belles Lettres, Arts, Sciences, etc. for the year 1831. Howard was a member of the Royal Academy of Arts. The bottom of the print reads: London. Published for the Proprietor by Hurst, Chance & Co. St. Paul's Church-Yard.
The entire surface of this circa 1830s print (the actual print and the paper surrounding it) measures 7 3/4" x 5", and the print alone measures 4 3/4" x 3 3/8".
The entire piece has some discoloration as well as creasing, a torn corner (upper right) and a tear (right side, down about 1/3). I tried to show each part of the print in the photos. Please do ask if you'd like more photos.
