Estimated date of this slide is late 1800s, early 1900s. The slide is by Walter Isaacs of 81 Nassau Street, NY-- as shown on the back of the slide. The slide is numbered on the paper with the red dot and described as "2233 A 'Bujji' or Bullock Skin Boat. India." The slide number and "India" are also on the slide itself, on the right side.
Skin boats were actually inflated buffalos used to traverse the waterways in India. This site (http://www.bl.uk/onlinegallery/onlineex/apac/photocoll/i/019pho000000181u00035000.html) tells a bit about the process.
The slide is 4" x 3 ¼".
