This mug appears in Early New England Potters and Their Wares
By Lura Woodside Watkins. It is late 19th century and impressed with J.S.T. and Co., Keene, N.H. on the base. There is very faint lettering on the side of the mug, barely discernible. I imagine this was a souvenir and marked as such.
Hampshire Pottery, as this is know, was produced between 1871 and 1923.
Measurements are 2 ⅝" across the mouth, 3 ¾" across the base, and 5 ½" in height.
There are no chips or cracks but there is considerable crazing. Please examine photos carefully and do let me know if you need more. I'll be happy to oblige.
Thank you for looking.
