This Gerry's vintage poodle brooch. The reddish/fuchsia color on the dog's collar and tag looks rather hastily applied or else it's worn off a bit, especially on the tag. The brooch has a silvery gold tone color and it's 1 ¾ in height x 1" at its widest.
While the safety catch works, the pin is very difficult to remove because of its length. I've seen other brooches just like this, and the pin is not as long as this pin. The pin has a slight bend in the center, and when this is pushed down upon in just the right place, the pin can be easily removed. Otherwise, it takes a keen set of eyes and persistence to unfasten it. Because of this, the brooch is priced accordingly.
