This vintage Ice Follies program is from their 1949 show at Madison Square Garden in NYC.
The 16 page book has some wear in the form of creasing, dog-earing, folds, and bends and a couple of small tears at the edges of pages. Please ask if you'd like more photographs of the item's condition. It can be considered to be in fair condition. There is also writing on the cover: 11/25/49, Paul and Dotty.
Included with the program are two ticket stubs that were found inside the program after I purchased it. Presumably, these belonged to Paul and Dotty.
The contents of the program include information about the producers of the show: Eddie Shipstad, Oscar Johnson, and Roy Shipstad.
Also included are "How the Ice Follies Travels," photos from the themed segment "In a Viennese Garden" starring Monica Moran; the troupe known as the Petita Octet; Frick and Frack; Ote Ericsen; Ed Dunigan; Narena and Norris; Virginia Morrison; Les Hamilton; Schramm Twins; Ross and Davidson; the Corps de Ballet; and "Promenade."
There are photos from the segment known as "Dairyville, U.S.A." These photos include the Choirboys, The Scotvold Twins, Choirboys and Farmer Brown, and Milkmen and Dairymaids.
There is an article on Helen Rose, the costumer, as well as photos from "The Bowery" and "Music Shop" segments with June Week at West Point ("The Swing Waltz"), The Le Duc Brothers, Marilyn Ruth Take, Hugh Hendrickson, April Schramm, Hazel Franklin, Rasmussen and Cameron, Montel Phillips, and Harris and Phyllis Legg.
The program also lists the full cast and all of the numbers, including another called "Winter's Beauty-- the Dream of Snoopy Bear" with Betty Schalow and Snoopy and Pals. This is not the Snoopy of Peanuts fame.
Original music is by Larry Morey, of whom a biography appears as well as an ad for the album appearing on Capitol Records. Other pictured numbers are "Totem Ceremonial Dance" that includes the "Precision Finale," "Hearts Are Trump" with Harris Legg and Schalow and Hendrickson, and "Circus Day" with the Green and Gold Troupe and Clowns and Acrobat as well as Mae Ross.
Thank you for looking.
