These buttons have riveted cut steel crescent moons as well as a circular center cut steel attacked to the wire shank, which resembles a pigtail shank since it has only one end attached.
I am estimating these buttons as being from the Victorian era, when the moon motif, particularly the crescent moon, was popular.
Size is 15/16".
