This Italian hammered metal wall hanging of the Virgin is from Trento, Italy. The label on the reverse shows that the piece was manufactured by the Associazione Artigiani Trentino. This area is associated with hammered metal artwork.
This piece is circa 1950s-1970s and measures 9" at its longest (measured diagonally from the upper right corner to the bottom left) and 6.5" at its widest. At the lower edge of the piece is embossed writing that looks like it reads Gasperini Marcello. There is a hook by which to hang the piece on the reverse.
*****Condition: There is significant scratching to the dark background and some indents not readily visible. Please examine the photos carefully and do let me know if you need more as I'll be happy to oblige.
