*****Condition: This ornamental frame lacks the easel back and cover (for photo or artwork placed within the opening on the back as well as on the front) so it is being sold for repair or repurposing. There is nothing to secure the artwork or to support the frame. Also, there are areas of wear to the designs. Please examine all photos carefully and do let me know if you need more as I'll be happy to oblige.
The frame depicts putti and floral motifs and is signed "Ruffony" in the lower right corner. Oscar Ruffony was a Swiss sculptor (1874-1946) who was active in France. The dimensions of the frame are 4.5" at the longest point to 3" at its widest. The back mark reads "Made in France. Galb Email 14 BIS."
The metal is unknown.
