I'm not certain of the age of this metal, vintage, pocket shrine, but I've seen similar shrines attributed to WWI or WWII. Dimensions of the case are approximately 1 ¼" x ½", and the saint figure measures 1" x ⅜" across the base.
The case opens to reveal the Virgin Mary. The shrine is from Belgium, but it could possibly be French in origin.
***** Condition: The red plastic that provides the "window" on the front of the case has wear and scratches. The case has significant wear, including rust, on the front and back but opens and closes without a problem. The figurine of the Virgin has wear, especially to the reverse in the form of discoloration.
Thank you for looking.
