Medal of lion engraved by Pierre Theunis (P. Theunis, lower left). Manufactured by Fonson and Cie (Company), visible in the lower right. Fonson operated in the late 19th and early 20th century. Theunis (1883-1950) created this medal in 1920.
The reverse reads, translated from the French and Dutch: Homage to disabled soldiers.
Often attributed as bronze, but I cannot find a hallmark. Measures ¾" across, not inducing the bale.
