This American Indian or First Nations moose call is made of birch bark, a commonly used resource by the tribes of the Northeast, with cord stitching around the base. The pegs look to be wood.
Please note that a portion of the stitching is missing. Also note the bowing of the bark where it is lifting up in the first photograph.
There is a design visible on the bark. There appear to be moose horns and perhaps legs but unsure of the subject's entire composition.
This moose call is approximately 17.75". The opening at the large end is approximately 6.25" across.
