This antique, French folding hook was used for shoe buttons or corset laces. It is circa 19th century and of an unknown silver-colored metal. On one side, It has an intricate design and the word "depose," meaning the design has been patented. On the other side, it has the same design. The piece measures 3 ¾" lengthwise open and 2 ⅜" lengthwise closed. Opens and closes without issue.
*****Condition: The metal has heavy wear in the form of rust, discoloration, and scratching. Please examine the photos carefully and do let me know if you need more as I will be happy to oblige.
