Belle Époque/Louis XVI Revival, Tabletop, Beveled Mirror, from France

$135.00

This antique, tabletop mirror from France has beveled glass and symmetrical features that point to the Belle Époque period, probably late 19th, early 20th century. The features, like the beading (astragal); a continuous, chased, floral pattern; and the neat restraint of the mirror's design elements are considered Neoclassical/Louis XVI Revival.

The small, shield-shaped, beveled mirror and its frame measure approximately 5 ¾" x 4 ¼" at its narrowest. There are no visible maker's marks.

*****Condition: Please note the mirror does have scratches, and the metal has overall wear and discoloration in the form of darkening. The reverse of the mirror (the case back) has heavy discoloration and wear as does the stand (easel back). Please examine all photos carefully and do let me know if you need more as I'll be happy to oblige.

Thank you for looking.
