This candy box from a French confectioner is decorated by Edouard Roumy (signature in lower right corner) and is circa 1920s-1930s. The style is Colonial Art Deco or Colonial Deco, a movement within the Art Deco period that was characterized by colonial themes and attire.
The box measures 8.5" x 4.5" with a depth of ¾". It includes the original paper liners that separated candies/confections.
*****Condition: The box has discoloration to the lid and fading to the purple portion around the sides of the bottom half of the lid. The underside is concave, and I believe this to be the original shape and not damage. Please examine all photos carefully and do let me know if you need more as I'll be happy to oblige.
