These two boxes are sold together and are from France. They are vintage, possibly antique, and have various condition issues such as climate stains, split corners on the Dupuis box, soiling on both, and writing on the underside of the Dupuis-Thuillier box.
It is noteworthy to mention that Dupuis and Thuillier are both mentioned in Balzac's Les Petits Bourgeois. The latter refers to a family, and Dupuis is a notary in the novel.
The Dupuis-Thuillier box measures 1.75" and .75" depth. The Dupuis box measures 1.75" x 1" x .50" (depth).
