This antique, Belgian postcard by J, Brien of Brussels is postmarked 1904, and was probably manufactured around 1903. 5 ¾" x 3 ½", Rare to find intact.
Translated from the French, the postcard is known as The Ladies' Oracle. The instructions in the lower right corner say to think of a letter, spin the wheel, and then read the corresponding answer on the wheel. Some of the answers are:
Marry first and then we'll see.
Only one. He will be a rascal.
Yes, happiness is there. Don't forget it.
*****Condition: Please note the postcard does have discoloration on both the front and reverse, some edge wear, and writing on the front from the sender to the recipient. The reverse has pencil marks in the upper left corner. One of the stamps has a missing portion. Please examine all of the photos and let me know if you need more as I'll be happy to oblige.
