Cartier-Bresson and Thiriez merged their companies circa 1920s and were partners through the merger with DMC in 1961. This box of 10 spools of lustrous cotton darning/mending thread features shades of beige with some doubles. The numbers on the ends of the spools do not denote the year of manufacture but rather the numbers of the various colors.
These darning threads are probably circa 1920s and could have been used for ladies' stockings, among other things.
The box measures approximately 6.75" x 4.50" and the 10 spools each contain 30 meters of thread. I do not believe any have been used.
An interesting fact: Claude Cartier founded the company in 1824 after which his son Henri Cartier-Bresson (The Bresson came from his mother, Lucie.) assumed the business. Henri's son André took over thereafter, and one of his sons, named after his father, was the famous photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson who declined to become involved with the family business.
