This antique (circa 1900s) Sacré Cœur détente from France is embroidered and embellished with beads and metal work. It measures approximately 1.5" x 1.5", not including the ribbon, which measures approximately ⅞" in length.
A détente is a small Sacred Heart emblem that is carried as a form of spiritual protection and spiritual shield.
*****Condition: Please examine all photos carefully and do let me know if you need more as I'll be happy to oblige. There is discoloration, probably climate staining from improper storage in a damp area. This is most evident on the ribbon; the background of the piece, particularly the edges; and the white embroidery edging of the heart. Also, there is wear and some loss to the blue embroidery edging of the heart.
