This Anton Reiche chocolate mold is in the classic, flat, postcard mold style. It features four hearts with the script "To My Valentine" in each heart. Dimensions are 11" x 3 ⅜".
Reiche began work in chocolate with the illustrious French firm Letang et Fils. When Reiche embarked upon his own chocolate mold business venture, his molds quickly became the gold standard for exquisite attention to detail as well as variety.
Circa 1920s-1930s.
The edges of the mold are marked with "Anton Reiche, Dresden" and his logo, "52," "No. 4644," "Made in Germany," and "TC Weygandt, New York, U.S.A., Made in Germany."
*****CONDITION: Please note the mold is extremely patinated with discoloration, scratches, and areas of rust. I would not use this to make chocolate or any other edible foodstuff since the metal is unknown. I am not certain if it is nickel-plated or tin-plated steel, but I do not believe it is Platinol.
