These ten French fèves and santons are for sale individually. Each figurine is shown with two photos, the front and back. All are referred to as fèves in the dropdown box. The first two photos show Fève 1, the second two photos show Fève 2, and so on. Please use the dropdown to choose which fève(s) you wish to purchase. If you would like to purchase more than one, you will need to add each fève to your cart separately.
CONDITION/PLEASE READ: These are older fèves and santons, possibly antique, but of indeterminate age. Please use the zoom function to get the closest look at the photos as there is wear and discoloration commensurate with age. Some paint loss and chipping may be evident. Do let me know if you need more photos as I'll be happy to oblige.
Fèves are ceramics or beans placed in the traditional French cake of Epiphany, the Galette des Rois, or the King Cake here in the States for Mardi Gras. Whomever finds the fève is crowned king or queen and has to pay for next year's cake.
Santons (little saints) are usually from Provençe and may depict members of the Holy Family as well as the Magi.
Fèves and santons are sometimes interchangeable.
