This French "Les Feuilles" (The Leaves) absinthe spoon is comprised of steel and measures 6.25" in length.

This is an antique and not a reproduction.
Manufactured 1860s-1900s. There is a stamp on the back of the handle that reads "Metal Aciere Français," which means it is steel that is made in France.

Les Feuilles #1 (French for "leaves") absinthe spoon is found on page 72 of Marie-Claude Delahaye's book "Les Cuilleres" (French for "Spoons") and is rated a one star absinthe spoon. Marie-Claude is the owner and curator of the "Musee de l'Absinthe" outside of Paris. She has also authored a series of books relating to all aspects of antique absinthe ware. The book "Les Cuilleres" comprises a comprehensive selection of most all antique absinthe spoons ever made. This is the only reference book on the market and considered the bible for antique absinthe spoons.
