Mid-Century Modern, BR Keramik, Hand-Painted, Drip-Glazed, Double-Eared Vase, West Germany

$145.00

Mid-Century Modern refers to the period from the 1950s-1970s. I am conservatively dating this vase to circa 1970s but it could be earlier.

This classic MCM drip-glazed vase has dimensions that are approximately 7 ¾" height and 5 ¼" across the opening. The base measures 3" across. There is a sticker on the underside that reads BR Keramik handgemalt (hand-painted) along with a black mark on the service of the underside.

*****Condition: There is overall crazing. Please examine all photos carefully using the zoom function and do let me know if you need more as I'll be happy to oblige. Lastly, there are some rough, sharp, areas, particularly on the interior portion of the double handles. This was more than likely owing to debris in the kiln adhering in this area when the piece was being glaze-fired.

Thank you for looking.
