This unusual pair of boiled egg scissors, also known as "eierschere" in German and sometimes as "egg topper" elsewhere, is comprised of a metal (probably stainless steel but not marked as such), which is partially gold-plated. They are marked "Germany' on one side and measure 5.25" in length. I've seen similar scissors with an Italian mark.
*****Some of the plating has worn off and there is some tarnishing and discoloration to the un-plated portion that slices the top of the egg. There is also scratching/wear where the scissors separate. Please see last three photos for evidence of this scratching/wear, and please examine all photos to discern overall condition along with my description.
