This antique, canivet measures approximately 4 ¼" x 2 ¾" and is circa late 1800s.
The canivet depicts a child with a guardian angel and the phrase 'The Lord guards the little ones" in German and in French. The reverse of the canivet has penciled writing, part of which reads "Josephine" and "Souvenir of Mme Joulié."
**Please note there is light foxing and discoloration to the face and reverse of the canivet. Please examine the photos carefully and do let me know if you need more as I'll be happy to oblige.
