This rare, very special ex-voto, from the collection of Parisienne Sinologist Olga R., was part of a lot auctioned off on March 26, 2017. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HYnYwo6O_Y.
I have four pieces in total from this collection. Two of the others are listed separately. Please examine all photos carefully and do let me know if you would like more as I'll be happy to oblige. The piece measures 9.5" x 6.75" at its widest.
The exact provenance is unknown, but it was known that Olga R., being a Sinologist, collected objects from Asia (as well as contemporary art). Still, I cannot help but see similarities to items from the Congo or Haiti.
The piece is comprised of metal, plastic, fabric, paper, cardboard, and string.
*****Condition: Please note the piece has faded and there is some creasing to the paper. I've not examined every single charm and bead, but I've tried to show an accurate representation through the photos.
