This swallow brooch from France is circa 1950s and has a trombone clasp. This type of clasp was used on brooches from the late 1800s into the 1950s.
The brooch is of an unmarked metal with no maker's mark. Dimensions are 1 ⅜" across and 1 ⅞" at its longest portion (wing tip to foot). The trombone clasp works well and is secure.
